Westfield has announced a collaboration with Uber to improve customer experience.
The partnership will see specific pick-up and drop-off points at both its Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City locations. The shopping centre hopes this will reduce wait times for customers wanting to get an Uber to and from Westfield.
Paul Buttigieg, Westfield's director of operations, said: "This new service is an example of Westfield bringing together physical and technological solutions which are focussed on delivering a real benefit to our customers.”
Jo Bertram, regional general manager of Uber in the UK, added: “Uber helps millions of people in London get a convenient, safe and affordable ride at the touch of a button. Our partnership with Westfield goes one step further, making the process even more seamless and easy to use. We understand that it can sometimes be tricky for drivers and riders to locate each other in a big venue and we are excited to see the impact of our new Uber zones on shoppers.”
Customers using the Uber app will be given clear instructuions so they can find their driver in the dedicated Uber zone, led by in-store signage.
