Estée Lauder is using voice-enabled technology to engage with potential customers.

Estée Lauder has collaborated with Google to create a beauty experience for Google Home.

The brand will provide Google Home users with personalised skincare solutions and techniques using voice-enable technology.

Google has added the ‘Estée Lauder Nighttime Expert’ app to its Google Assistant. Users who say “Ok Google, can I talk to the Estée Lauder Nighttime Expert” in the vicinity of their Google Home device, are provided nighttime skincare routines after answering a series of questions. The app then encourages users to try out Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II serum for free at an Estée Lauder counter.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Google to be at the forefront of creating personalised consumer beauty experiences via the emerging world of voice activation,” said Stephane de La Faverie, global brand president, Estée Lauder. “Combining our beauty expertise with Google’s technology allows us to build on our digital evolution and offer the latest innovation to further enhance our consumer experience.”

The Nighttime Expert app will be available from December and the brand plans to offer other apps and services early next year.

Tricia Nichols, vice president, global consumer engagement, Estée Lauder, added: “Adding voice experiences will unlock the next level of personalisation and help us reach a new generation of consumers. Through our collaboration with Google, we are expanding our omnichannel efforts to go beyond stores and online to in-home, at the moment.”
